TSL Monastic pre-ordination course

Thubten Shedrup Ling Monastery is now accepting applications for Aspirants to apply to join our 6 month live-in monastic pre-ordination course, the purpose of this course is to provide an environment for males aspiring to Buddhist monastic life to live with-in the monastic community to experience the activities of daily life and prepare for monastic life in a supportive environment.

What we can offer:

Community Living:

Live within the monastic community here at TSL, interacting, learning and participating in everyday life within the monastery.

Receive teachings:

attend weekly teachings held at Atisha Centre with our Lharampa Geshe Thubten Rabten on the graduated path to enlightenment.

Daily prayers and practices:

join the Sangha in daily prayers and practices as well as specific puja's for special days and events.

Informal study with other Sangha:

engage in a informal study group here with other aspirants and monks on more specific topics deepening understanding on the Lam-Rim topics.
